I will dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
